MICHAEL ALLEN HAS 2 LATE BIRDIES TO WIN HIS SENIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP DEBUT
BEACHWOOD, Ohio (AP) — Having waited two decades to finally win his first big tournament, Michael Allen has his eyes on another prize.
“This gives me the exact scenario I want,” he said with a laugh after shooting a 3-under 67 Sunday to win the Senior PGA Championship by two shots over Larry Mize. “I’m going to be the first guy ever to win a senior tour event BEFORE he wins his first PGA Tour event.”
Then he smiled, lifted his champagne flute and took a long sip.

PAUL CASEY BIRDIES LAST 2 HOLES TO WIN BMW PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
VIRGINIA WATER, England (AP) – Paul Casey coolly birdied the last two holes to win the BMW PGA Championship by one stroke and rise to number three in the world on Sunday.
Casey, 41st at the start of the year, fired a closing four-under 68 to hold off fast-charging local man Ross Fisher, who had completed a week’s-best 64 and was waiting to see if that would be good enough to force a playoff.
