A NEW BOARD GAME
By Roy Love
Monopoly, the most popular board game ever, may
have a challenger
BOX OF GOLF |

Here’s a board
game that has all the elements of playing round of golf.
Bunkers, rough, water, trees, divots, every challenge a golfer
could experience on the course.
At first the rules seem a little complex, but once you get the
hang of it it’s quite simple.
You play the game just as if you were out on the course.
Select your club, play your shot (roll the dies) and move. |
The object of the game
Play against par for nine or eighteen holes of golf to win gems.
Attempt to complete each hole in the fewest strokes, the less
strokes the more gems. The player with the most gems at the end of
the game wins! You can even play the game right in the box.
Box of Golf
was inspired by a tow truck driver and avid golfer from
Greenfield MA
President Robert Labrie and his group took the idea to a new
level by creating distinctive hard wood packaging, beautiful art
work and offering several versions that can replicate any golf
course in the world.
The game comes in three versions: Basic, Enhanced and
Deluxe. with pricing ranging from $49.50 for the Basic to
$198.00 for the Deluxe version.. They even have a St. Andrews
version in their Collectors Series.
Playing Box of Golf can be a lot of fun
and would be a great gift for the golfing enthusiast.
