Highly-Acclaimed Course Earns Spot On Prestigious List For Ninth
Consecutive Year

Caledonia Golf & Fish Club was named one of the nation's "100 Best Modern
Courses" by Golfweek magazine in its annual "America's Best Courses"
rankings. Caledonia, a Mike Strantz design, was ranked No. 92 and was the
only Grand Strand layout named to the list.
As part of the "America's Best" rankings,
Caledonia was also named the third best public access course in South
Carolina, along with five other Grand Strand area courses selected to the
list of 10 which included Dunes Golf and Beach Club, Tidewater Golf Club,
TPC at Myrtle Beach, Grande Dunes and the Love Course at Barefoot Resort &
Golf.
The criteria used by Golfweek, which
defines a modern course as being built since 1960, to rate Caledonia
included the ease and intimacy of routing, integrity of design, quality of
feature shaping, natural setting and overall land planning among other
categories. Caledonia was first named to Golfweek's list of "100 Best
Modern Courses" in 1998. and was the only Myrtle Beach area course to be
named among the top 100 in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Caledonia was joined on Golfweek's list of
the "100 Best Modern Courses" by eight other Palmetto State layouts,
including the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (No. 18), Harbour Town Golf
Links (No. 27), Long Cove Golf Club (No. 40), Musgrove Mill Golf Club (No.
65), Kiawah Island Club (No. 69), Sage Valley Golf Club (No. 83),
Secession Golf Club (No. 90), Old Tabby Links (No. 91) and May River
Course at Palmetto Bluff (No. 100). Caledonia, the Ocean Course, Harbour
Town were the only public access courses in South Carolina named to the
list.
