SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO

Every Monday
(well, almost every Monday) these denizens
of golf assemble at the
Pine Crest Executive course in Largo
Florida.
Sure there's
lots of foursomes playing every Monday.
So what's
the big deal?
The big deal is this. Each
player in this group has either
reached or gone beyond
their
90th
birthday -
and they are still
playing
golf.
When
asked why they liked the game?
They
all came up with one universal answer. “Something
to look forward to.” |

Larry Saumers the elder statesman was born November 25, 1910
he’s 91. He
has been playing golf for the last 10 years.
Originally from Brook Park, Minnesota, Larry sold Florida
real estate while living in Cleveland Ohio, I guess he
believed his sales pitch.
He moved to Florida 25 years ago.
“Why do I like Golf?”
Exercise,
fellowship, the challenge, something to look forward to.
